New Vicar appointed:
The Rev Phillip Mears has accepted the post of Vicar, succeeding the Rev Martin Partridge who retired in September
A former hospital chaplain, Mr Mears has been working in a hospice for the past five years.
He and his wife, Wendy, a retired teacher, live in Warrington, Cheshire. They plan to move to Quainton in April.
The Revd Phillip Mears will be licensed as team vicar for Quainton
on Monday 3rd April

"Wendy and I are really excited, if a bit apprehensive, at the prospect of coming to Quainton at the end of March. It will involve major changes in our lives.
I was ordained 40 years ago, and worked in parishes in the Blackburn Diocese for 16 years. During that time we spent a year in Minneapolis on an exchange visit with an American priest.
For the past 24 years, I have been working in health care, 20 years as a full time Hospital Chaplain in Warrington, and then as a Hospice Chaplain. Wendy has worked as a high school teacher for most of her career, and recently part-time as a couples’ counsellor. We have a son and daughter, and 3 small grandchildren.
We look forward to meeting you all and are grateful for the opportunity of being a part of the village community."
